I am an independent web designer, developer and graphic artist specializing in web sites for small to medium sized businesses. I offer full development services including layout, graphics, PHP scripting, MySQL databases, web based database management interfaces, site maintenance and submission to the major search engines.

Every business exists to make money. A business is measured by the profit it generates and its return on investment. Whether you will be selling products and services on-line or not a website can enhance your business.

Having a website puts information about your business in your customer's hands. Information that is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and unlike many other forms of advertising, a website can be updated instantly. No waiting for the ad to run in the next newspaper, magazine or yellow pages. Current specials and promotions are easily added and subtracted.

A website can increase your level of customer service. Customers will have a means of contacting you whether the phones are manned or not, whether your business is open or not. In todays highly competitive market, customer satisfaction can make or break your business.

Unique:

I don’t use canned templates to create websites. Every site I develop is unique in its own right. A uniqueness based on the information that the site is going to present. Layout, graphics and text presentation are all tailored to each site.

Smart Navigation:

Ever go to a site and get lost in a confusing mishmash of links? Smart navigation is based on the basics which sometimes get lost when designers attempt to come up with a wiz bang graphical navigation system. Smart navigation means whether text links, CSS styled links or buttons with rollovers are used, the navigation will be easily recognized and simple to use.

Hosting Solutions:

Web hosting is not a service that I offer. What I can do though is help you find a hosting service that will fit your needs and your budget. I can also assist you in setting up the service.

PHP/MySQL:

As a web developer I use PHP and MySQL. Both products are open source and widely supported by hosting companies. The true power of the web can be realized with sites that utilize databases and scripting. Updates are easily managed and are instantaneous. I build Administrative Interfaces to make managing the database simple and direct. Likewise I can also code for ASP (Active Server Pages) if that is your preference.

Graphics:

Being a highly visual medium, graphics play a huge role in the web. Like many things though more is not always better. The graphics I create are designed for the web and have resolutions and sizes tailored to the web.

The same creative energy that goes into web graphics crosses over into print graphics. The difference is file type and resolution.

Search Engines:

Forget the hype, no one can guarantee you ranking in a search engine short of paying for it. What can be done is optimize your site's description and keywords to maximize your listing in search engines.
